7:00 AM You wake up and wonder for a bit where you are. You then remember that you just moved into a new house in a new city. Your wife, Sydney, is next to you. You look outside to find moving trucks with all your belongings. You get ready to start your day. It is very important, the first day of your new job. It is of utmost importance that you make a good impression. You start your drive. Almost none of your things are unpacked so you [[go to Starbucks for breakfeast->8:00 AM]]. <img src="assets/car-scene-1.gif" alt="image not loaded!" title="Hover tooltip">You go to Starbucks and order your usual morning breakfeast. The lady next to you starts talking. She seems very friendly. She introduces herself as Brenda. Brenda is very talkative. "Hi, I'm Brenda, I don't believe we've had the pleasure." "I'm Bob, I just moved in" " Oh really? That's nice, do you live around here?" "About five blocks over." "I normally go to the one over on McKinley, but they started hiring all these goons who don't know the first thing about coffee! All they know is lattes and hot chocolate. How hard is it to get a simple coffee! He spilled my coffee, so the next time, I made sure to get another guy, and that `***` ruined my coffee!" You don't quite like that, but it's the first time Brenda's let you get a word in so you can [[tell her something]] on the other hand, this could be your last oppurtunity to leave and you don't want to be late for work on your first day. So [[you really should go]].You want to confront her but what would you say? If you can think of something to tell her, you can [[still confront her]], but [[you really should go]].You check your watch, work starts in fifteen minutes and you can be there in possibley seven minutes if you leave now. You tell Brenda it was nice meeting her and you hope to meet again. Now you need to [[go to work]], or [[go home for a break]].(set: $says to (prompt: "What do you say to her?")) You tell her $says Brendas grunts and walks away, you don't think she'll be talking to you if you do run into eachother again. "Come here" he says when you enter, gesturing to his desk. "I am not happy Bob, not happy. Ask me why I'm not happy." "Because I'm late. I'm sorry sir it wont hap-" "That's not asking," he says, interupting your apology, "ask me why I'm unhappy." "Why" "Why what? be specific, Bob!" "Why are you unhappy?" You've talked to this guy before, but you had no idea he would be such a spaz. "Because youre late," he takes a deep breath, "We have expectations to uphold here at Mediacore & Co. Inc., and we can't have our employees always coming late. I know, things happen, and life gets in the way but, we as a company have to stay strong. "Look here," he directs you to a line graph on the wall, "You see Bob, statistics show that money and cowerkers prove a good environment to make money and build stock because you may just be an accountant in a cubical, but the things you do have an impact and companies inc. is the leading brand in paper distribution and we need money because x is equal to negative b plus or minus the square root of b squared plus four a c over two a and we need to stay stong! Our recent stocks have shown that money is going down!! You cannot be late! It's penetrating the beaurocracy!!! You are dismissed. " [[go to cubical]] After you're done getting a lecture from your boss. You go to your cubical to start working. when you sit down at your desk you satrt to notice some laughter,it's not that loud but you can defently hear it. So you look over to see whats happening. Two of your coworkers are goofing off in the next cubical. You tell them,"Can you keep it down or maybe work?" Sitting back in your chair you let out a big huff of air. A short time later the two guys start to joke around allitle louder then before. So as soon as you get up, one of them say,"before you blow a fuse again the only one we're bothering is you. And W'rnt you late on the first day. So you should'nt you be catching up on work insted of bossing us around." Insted reacting in a way that make things worse. You just sit back in your chair, take a deep breath and try not worry. For the rest of the day you didnt get much work done. I'd blame the two guys. As you enter store, the lady greets you with a loud, "HEY!" You reply with a "hey". "How's it going, Bob was it." "Yah.", I replied. I had no idea what she was talking about! Umm... I should [[really finish work]].You finish work at 7:00 pm., and [[finally go home]].On the way home you notice a man [[beating someone up]].You can [[call the police]], [[leave them be]], [[say something]], or [[really finish work]]. Police come later, [[finally go home]]. You [[finally go home]].
